Film Camera anyone?

Seems everyone is dumping their film cameras to go digital. Well I haven't used film for many years, I thought wouldn't it be great to apply all the new things I've learnt with the DSLR back to analog.

So I picked up a nice Olympus OM2n and some lenses came with it as a bonus. I have to say I'm really pleased with the gear I got from the auction.  All this for €77 plus €18 postage.

Olympus OM2n
Zuiko 50mm f1.8
Zuiko 75-150mm f/4
Tokina 28-85 f/4
Vivitar Extension Tubes
Metz  32MZ-3 flash gun

The flash doesn't fire but I think its due to the batteries being NiMh rechargable which have a voltage of 1.2 and maybe not work on older electronics. I'll try with some standard AAs later today.

Anyway the plan is to use this beauiful camera for black and white. I found some Kodak BW400CN locally which will do I think for the first run. I hope to try some Ilford XP2 and Delta as well but I think I need to order these from Vienna. Once I'm happy with what I'm doing on the little Oly, it will be the darkroom (dunkelkammer in German - what a cool word!).

Update: A shop in Vienna will ship Ilford by C.O.D within Austrian - www.blende7.at
